Post No. 41a: This is a Very Special Weekend on C-Span2 BookTV

We, at the Institute for Applied Common Sense, frequently make reference to books and their authors in our articles. For those of you interested in the presidential campaigns, and getting to know the candidates better, this weekend is for you. http://www.booktv.org/

Once you click on to the link, check out the entire page, particularly those things under the section, "What's New." At least four books about Sens. McCain and Obama will be discussed, and at least two of them, "In Depth." No one should be legitimately able to say they do not know the candidates after listening to these discussions.

Did Sen. McCain show his true colors, as we suggested in Post No. 40, during his acceptance speech last night?

The problem (usually) with diapers today is that they are too good. Toddlers don't feel uncomfortable so don't really feel the need to potty train. I big piece of potty training is having the kids want to. Another big piece is knowing when the kid pees, so you can address the kid right then. Some diapers have an image disappear when the kid wets but you have to have the kid walking around without pants and be watching its diaper. I think they should replace the absorbant material with pop rocks.

  2. ps - I just found out that I was laid off. I still have a couple of months on the job but the end is near. I'm not sure if I'm going to guess blog something. The laid off has really given me a kick in the creativity. I'm only really posting thing people seem to laugh at when I'm talking about my dad. No real thought when writing, just recapturing something I've already said to others.
